Another year, another record. That’s 12 years in a row. The number of existing homes sold during December vaulted 2004 to a record 26,091 transactions, a 7.59% increase over 2003.

According to ORRA’s Roth Report of local housing activity, 2,185 homes were sold last December by Orlando-area Realtors® compared to 2,235 in December 2003. Interest rates remained in the fives, making the average rate 5.74% for the year. The average median price for 2004 was $170,855.
