Scholarship Essay Contest

ORRA offers $5,000 for student essays about the Realtor® profession

ORRA is proud to announce its fifth annual scholarship essay contest for high school seniors in Orange and Seminole counties. The program offers one $5,000 scholarship.

The scholarship program is open to high school seniors who plan to continue their education at a college, university, technical school, or other institution of higher learning. Students must submit a typed, double-spaced essay of 500 words or less on the topic “How Does A Realtor® Professional Benefit The Community?”. The essay must be typed in 12 point font.

The deadline for essay submission is Monday, March 19th. Please encourage any Orange or Seminole seniors you know (your own children, neighbors’ children, or even clients’ children) to enter.

Click on the links for specific contest rules and forms. All essays must be accompanied by the Essay Cover Form. You may also contact ORRA Chief Operating Officer Jacque Stanly at 407.513.7261.

A panel of judges will choose the top essay, with the winner receiving the $5,000 scholarship. The winning student will receive the scholarship award for his/her winning essay at an Association luncheon meeting scheduled for July (date TBA). This contest is being held in conjunction with the Florida Association of Realtor® scholarship contest, whose deadline is March 2, 2007. Entries for FAR's contest are also accepted for ORRA's contest.
